Allan Cohen, CFP

Allan graduated from Jacksonville University in 1970 with a B.S. in Accounting and went on to work as a CPA, adding an advanced certificate in Federal Gift and Estate Taxation. In 1983, he sold his CPA practice and became a Certified Financial Planner in order to pursue his dream to assist people with their finances. In 1995, he and Jan formed Butensky & Cohen to manage client assets in a fee only environment rather than selling products to clients and collecting commissions. He now believes that he is fulfilling that dream. Allan believes investing means buying companies, not stocks, and investing that follows the strict discipline that Butensky & Cohen developed will be extremely rewarding to your future and allow you to get a good night’s sleep without the worrying over investments.
Allan holds memberships with the Florida and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Certified Financial Planners.
