John Murphy, CFP
Investment Manager
John graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 where he majored in finance and minored in economics. Soon after he accepted a job in New York where he worked as a specialist in equities and exchange traded funds on the floor of the American Stock Exchange. Along with holding a seat on the AMEX, John was a consultant on committees for proprietary trading system designs and formulating rules for open outcry trading of exchange traded funds.
In 2005 John made his way back to Florida where he worked as an Investment Service Advisor for Merrill Lynch before coming to work as an Investment Manager for Butensky & Cohen in early 2006. John became a Certified Financial Planner in 2008 and a principal of the firm in 2010.
